"Painting with David Hockney" is an AI-assisted drawing app developed for the retrospective David Hockney 25 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton (~900k visitors).
The app invites visitors of all ages to recreate artworks from the Hockney exhibition using various levels of guided assistance, offering a playful, hands-on way to explore the artist’s style. Powered by a custom graphics engine, each gesture is translated into Hockney’s visual language while preserving the user’s expression. Installed in custom-designed furniture throughout the venue, these interactive stations combine comfort, aesthetics, and seamless indoor-outdoor usability.
