The Absurdity of Meaning is an interactive art collaboration with Canadian artist Peter Yuill for his solo exhibition at KONG Art Space, Hong Kong.
Responding to Yuill’s exploration of sacred geometry, abstraction and nature mythology, we created a series of four interactive installations and a live audio-reactive gong performance. Each piece introduced movement, sound and generative systems into the artist’s visual universe, extending his geometric works into a more meditative and experiential space.
The project became a playground for experimentation, combining in-house interactive technologies such as brainwave sensors, Leap Motion, gyroscopes and vibration-based interfaces. One installation was placed inside the venue’s car lift, transforming a simple transition between floors into an unexpected, surreal time-machine-like journey.
