abiogenesis (definition): "the idea that life arose from nonlife more than 3.5 billion years ago on Earth."
Abiogenesis is a full-CGI public artwork created for HKWALLS x SINO, displayed across the twin façades of Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre in Hong Kong.
The film imagines the first spark of life at a microscopic scale: mineral-like fibres drift, collide and trigger chemical reactions, gradually blooming into colourful organic forms.
Using the two-screen architecture as a cinematic canvas, the piece unfolds like a chain reaction — from silent particles to a luminous firework of living matter.
